Get listed with a ute 2017 or newer, fly the HailUte flag, go online, and we pay you $100 every week until Christmas. Here's the fine print in plain English — and if anything's unclear, call 1300 121 122 and ask.
- Offer
- HailUte (Booking Entity Authorisation #288245, Queensland) pays the qualifying driver $100 for each full week they are that suburb's flagute, by bank transfer, from the first full week after they are listed and flagged until Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 December 2026 — up to $900 in total. Contact: info@hailute.com.au.
- When payments start
- Qualifying weeks count from each flagute's first flagged week. Payments begin on the first Friday after 5 flagutes are listed and flying in Brisbane at the same time; that first payment covers every qualifying week accrued to then, and payments continue each Friday after that. HailUte emails and texts every flagute the day the 5th is reached. If 5 flagutes are not flying by Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 December 2026, the offer ends and no payments are made under it.
- Who qualifies
- Queensland drivers aged 18 or over who register at hailute.com.au/drive, whose ute was built in 2017 or later and is registered, insured and roadworthy, who have all six documents approved (a current Queensland Driver Authorisation, Booked Hire Service Licence, driver licence, vehicle registration, insurance certificate and ABN/GST confirmation) and are listed to drive with HailUte. HailUte staff, contractors and their immediate families are not eligible.
- One per suburb
- One flagute per Brisbane suburb (Brisbane City, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and Redland council areas), being the first driver listed with their home suburb on record. If a driver's own suburb already has a flagute, HailUte offers them the nearest open suburb to their address; the driver may accept or decline, and HailUte decides which suburb is offered. HailUte will tell you which suburbs are open on request.
- The flag
- HailUte supplies one HailUte flag per flagute, free, and it remains HailUte property. It is fitted to the ute and flown whenever the ute is in use. Lost or damaged flags are replaced once.
- Each week
- To earn a week's payment the driver must, in that week (Monday to Sunday, Brisbane time): fly the flag; be online on the HailUte driver page for at least 10 hours; accept the jobs offered in their suburb unless they have a fair reason not to; and text HailUte one dated photo of the flagged ute in the suburb. A week that misses any of these is not paid, and the offer continues the next week.
- Payment
- $100 per qualifying week, paid by bank transfer to the account the driver gives us, on the Friday after that week (or, before payments have started, in the first payment — see "When payments start"). It is paid in arrears and is not paid for part-weeks. It is separate from trip earnings (83.5% of every fare and 100% of tips), which are paid through HailUte as usual.
- Your tax
- The weekly payment is income to the driver. HailUte does not withhold tax; drivers are responsible for declaring it, and for GST if registered. Ask your accountant.
- Ends
- The offer ends on Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 December 2026 or earlier if HailUte withdraws it, with one week's notice by email or text; weeks already earned are paid. A driver who stops driving, is removed from HailUte for a breach of its driver terms, or lets a document lapse, stops being a flagute from that week.
- Other offers
- Flagute replaces the earlier HailUte driver offers (Tow bar on us, which closed on 23 October 2026, and Tyres on us, withdrawn on 25 October 2026) and is the only driver offer running at present. A driver who qualified for the tow bar before it closed keeps that entitlement as its terms describe.
- No cash alternative
- The offer is the weekly payment as described, not credit, a gift card or anything else, and is not transferable to another driver, ute or suburb.
- General
- HailUte may amend these terms to correct an error or where required by law, and may withhold a payment from any driver it reasonably believes has claimed a week fraudulently or in breach of these terms. Queensland law applies. The decision of HailUte is final.
